- Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup peeled, diced apples (about 1 medium apple)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (for swirl)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for swirl)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream, until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
