Taco Ring with Ground Beef

This Taco Ring is a fun and flavorful twist on traditional tacos, with a golden crescent roll crust that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The combination of seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings creates the perfect balance of savory flavors. It’s ideal for a quick weeknight dinner, a taco-themed party, or even a game day snack.

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough (8 triangles)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture is thickened and well combined. Remove from heat.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange the triangles in a circle on the baking sheet, overlapping the edges slightly to form a ring shape. Leave a small space in the center.
  5. Spoon the seasoned ground beef mixture onto the center of the dough ring. Top with shredded cheese, diced onions, tomatoes, and black olives.
  6. Fold the pointed ends of the crescent dough over the filling, tucking them under to form a ring shape. Pinch the edges to seal the dough and make a neat ring.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Allow the taco ring to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro for garnish.
