Sweet & Salty Rice Krispie Treats

These Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats are the perfect balance of sweet and salty.   1. Ingredients:
    • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
    • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (for garnish)
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
    Directions:
    1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray. Set aside.
    2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
    3. Stir in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract, continuing to cook and stir for another 1-2 minutes until the mixture is well combined.
    4. Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, making sure to coat the cereal evenly with the marshmallow-caramel mixture.
    5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press it down gently to pack the treats tightly.
