Ingredients:
- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8-10 lbs)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup canned pineapple slices (optional, for garnish)
- Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Prepare the ham: Place the ham on a rack in a large roasting pan, cut side down. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
- Make the glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Glaze the ham: Brush a generous amount of the glaze over the scored surface of the ham. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.
- Bake the ham: Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 2 hours, basting with the reserved glaze every 30 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
- Garnish and serve: If desired, add pineapple slices and maraschino cherries during the last 20 minutes of baking. Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
