Sticky Pineapple Brown Sugar Glazed Ham

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8-10 lbs)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup canned pineapple slices (optional, for garnish)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the ham: Place the ham on a rack in a large roasting pan, cut side down. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
  3. Make the glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Glaze the ham: Brush a generous amount of the glaze over the scored surface of the ham. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.
  5. Bake the ham: Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 2 hours, basting with the reserved glaze every 30 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  6. Garnish and serve: If desired, add pineapple slices and maraschino cherries during the last 20 minutes of baking. Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
