This rich, decadent chocolate cobbler is the perfect dessert for any chocolate lover!
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder (for topping)
1 1/2 cups boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and set aside.
Prepare the Batter:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until a smooth batter forms.
Assemble the Cobbler:
Spread the batter evenly into the greased baking dish.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup of cocoa powder evenly over the top of the batter.
Add Boiling Water:
Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture. Do not stir—the water will create the molten chocolate sauce underneath as it bakes.
Bake:
Bake the cobbler for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and crispy while the inside remains gooey and molten.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. For extra indulgence, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
