Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. The batter will be thick.
