These Slow Cooker Barbequed Beef Ribs are a true crowd-pleaser. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat falls off the bone effortlessly, while the rich, smoky barbecue sauce adds a tangy sweetness that everyone will love. Serve them with a side of coleslaw or grilled veggies for the ultimate
Ingredients:
- 2 racks of beef ribs (about 3 lbs)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Start by removing the silver skin from the back of the ribs. This thin membrane can be tough and chewy, so peeling it off will make the ribs more tender.
- Mix the dry seasonings: paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper (optional), mustard powder, and salt in a small bowl.
- Rub the seasoning mixture generously all over the beef ribs, making sure to cover every surface.
- Place the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker. Pour the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar over the ribs, making sure they are well-coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
- Once done, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker. If you prefer a caramelized, slightly crispy finish, transfer the ribs to a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes, basting with additional barbecue sauce halfway through.
- Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
