Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)
Directions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes a rich, sloppy joe filling.
- Lay out the flour tortillas and evenly divide the sloppy joe mixture onto each one. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filling.
- Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll them tightly into burritos.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Grill the burritos, seam side down first, for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious Sloppy Joe Grilled Burritos!
