Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh chives for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a pizza pan or large baking sheet.
- Roll out the biscuit dough and press it into the pizza pan, pinching the seams together to form a solid crust. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- While the crust is baking, cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Remove the sausage from the skillet, leaving the grease behind.
- To make the sausage gravy, melt butter in the skillet with the sausage grease. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, then gradually whisk in the milk. Continue stirring until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- In another pan, scramble the eggs over medium heat until cooked through.
- Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the baked biscuit crust. Top with scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chives, slice, and serve hot.
