  2. Ingredients:
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: sliced black olives, chopped bell peppers, or any other favorite pizza toppings

Directions:

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side, spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly across 2 slices.
  3. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce, then layer with pepperoni slices.
  4. Add any optional pizza toppings, then sprinkle Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
