Pillsbury Crescent Roll Taco Bake

  1. Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef mixture. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat.
  4. Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams to form a crust.
  5. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
  6. Layer with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place it on top of the beef and cheese, pinching the seams to close.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove from the oven and spread sour cream on top. Add black olives, tomatoes, and cilantro as garnish.
  10. Slice into squares and serve hot.
