Ingredients:
- 4 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for grilling)
- Italian seasoning (optional, for sprinkling)
Directions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices, butter-side down, in the skillet.
- Layer half of the mozzarella cheese evenly on each slice of bread. Add sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and place the other two slices of bread on top, butter-side up.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
