Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for grilling)
  • Italian seasoning (optional, for sprinkling)

Directions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  3. Layer half of the mozzarella cheese evenly on each slice of bread. Add sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
  4. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and place the other two slices of bread on top, butter-side up.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
