Peppermint Hot Chocolate Bacon Cheeseburger Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickles, diced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Peppermint hot chocolate sauce:
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain the excess fat and stir in the BBQ sauce and mustard. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the peppermint hot chocolate sauce by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
  4. Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the chips.
  5. Top the nachos with the cooked ground beef mixture, crumbled bacon, jalapeños, red onions, and pickles.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Drizzle the peppermint hot chocolate sauce over the nachos and finish with dollops of sour cream.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy this unique festive twist!
