Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well combined and a dough forms.
  3. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  4. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly golden.
  6. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
