Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic and sauté until soft (about 3 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of the meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Add a layer of frozen ravioli, followed by half the cream cheese mixture and half the remaining meat sauce.
  7. Repeat the layers: ravioli, cream mixture, and meat sauce.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
