Meat Lovers Pizza Casserole

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 lb Italian sausage
    • 2 cups pizza sauce
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 cup pepperoni slices
    • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
    • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
    • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
    • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • 8 oz penne pasta, cooked and drained
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    Directions:
    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
    3. Stir in pizza sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let simmer for 5 minutes.
    4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce mixture. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese.
    5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    6. Top with pepperoni slices, chopped bacon, black olives, green bell peppers, and mushrooms.
    7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
    8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
    9. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
