Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 slices of bacon
- 4 Belgian waffles
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 small red onion, sliced
- 4 leaves of lettuce (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into four patties, season with salt and pepper, and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side until they reach your preferred doneness.
- While the burgers cook, fry the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Set aside.
- Toast the Belgian waffles by heating them in a toaster or skillet with butter until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and ketchup to create a burger sauce.
- Once the burgers are cooked, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and let it melt.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a waffle on the bottom, adding the cheeseburger patty, a few slices of crispy bacon, and red onion slices. Drizzle maple syrup over the top and finish with a dollop of the burger sauce.
- Add lettuce if desired, top with another waffle, and serve hot!
