Lavender Citrus Lemonade

Lavender Lemonade is a beautifully fragrant and refreshing twist on the classic summer beverage. The floral notes of lavender perfectly complement the tartness of freshly squeezed lemon juice, creating a drink that is both calming and invigorating. Served chilled, it’s an ideal choice for hot summer days, afternoon gatherings, or whenever you need a refreshing sip.

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
    • 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
    • 3 cups cold water
    • Ice cubes
    • Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish
    Directions:
    1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the dried lavender buds and reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it steep for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
    2. Strain the lavender water into a heatproof container, discarding the lavender buds. Let the lavender-infused water cool to room temperature.
    3. In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or sugar, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir until the honey or sugar is dissolved.
    4. Add the cooled lavender water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
    5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lavender lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of lavender.
    6. Serve chilled and enjoy!
