Lavender Lemonade is a beautifully fragrant and refreshing twist on the classic summer beverage. The floral notes of lavender perfectly complement the tartness of freshly squeezed lemon juice, creating a drink that is both calming and invigorating. Served chilled, it’s an ideal choice for hot summer days, afternoon gatherings, or whenever you need a refreshing sip.
- Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 3 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the dried lavender buds and reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it steep for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Strain the lavender water into a heatproof container, discarding the lavender buds. Let the lavender-infused water cool to room temperature.
- In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or sugar, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir until the honey or sugar is dissolved.
- Add the cooled lavender water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lavender lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of lavender.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
