Italian Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 tsp baking powder
 - ½ tsp salt
 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
 - 3 large eggs
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
 - 1 tsp almond extract
 - 2 tsp lemon zest
 - 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
 - 2 tbsp milk
 - Sprinkles for decoration
 
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
 - In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
 - Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla, almond extract, and lemon zest.
 - Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until combined.
 - Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
 - Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the bottoms are lightly golden.
 - While the cookies are cooling, make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
 - Dip each cooled cookie into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off, and sprinkle with decorations.
 - Let the cookies sit until the glaze hardens.
