- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions or parsley, for garnish
- Tortilla chips or bread, for serving
Directions:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large saucepan, combine the cooked sausage and beer. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Gradually add the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses, stirring until fully melted and combined.
- Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving with tortilla chips or bread.
