Homemade Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and creamy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and flatten each ball slightly with a fork or the bottom of a glass.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
