- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, then carefully stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pans.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
