  1. Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup dried chamomile flowers
  • 1/4 cup dried elderberries
  • 2 tablespoons dried ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons dried peppermint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon dried lemon balm
  • 1 tablespoon honey powder (or regular honey if making individually)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup loose-leaf green tea (optional)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (for binding)
  • Silicone mold or ice cube tray

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the dried chamomile, elderberries, ginger, peppermint, lemon balm, turmeric, cinnamon, and green tea (if using). Mix well.
  2. Melt the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl or over low heat on the stove.
  3. Add the melted coconut oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until fully combined and the mixture is moist but not too wet.
  4. Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray, pressing it down to compact it.
  5. Place the molds in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until the tea bombs are completely solidified.
  6. Once frozen, pop the tea bombs out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the freezer for long-term storage or in the fridge for immediate use.
  7. To use, drop one tea bomb into a mug of hot water, stir, and let steep for 3-5 minutes. Add honey or a lemon slice for extra flavor and benefits.
