Ingredients:

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, cut in half
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Powdered sugar (optional for dusting)
  • Fresh berries (optional for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip each half of the Hawaiian rolls into the egg mixture, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  4. Arrange the dipped rolls in the prepared baking dish, slightly overlapping them.
  5. Pour any remaining egg mixture over the rolls, and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries if desired.
