  2. Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Slowly add the warm water and melted butter. Stir until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  4. Flatten each dough piece and place a sprinkle of Parmesan, mozzarella cheese, and minced garlic in the center. Roll each piece into a ball, sealing the edges.
  5. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
