Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 garlic bread slices (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Place the garlic bread slices on a baking sheet and brush them with melted butter. Bake for 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  6. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture evenly onto the garlic bread slices.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
