- Ingredients:
- 1 bag (10 oz) Doritos (any flavor)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: hot sauce or ranch dressing for dipping
- Start by heating oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- While the oil is heating, take a Dorito and gently press it down to create a small pocket. Fill the pocket with about a teaspoon of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Carefully fold the Dorito back to enclose the cheese, pressing the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining chips.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dip each cheese-stuffed Dorito first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, ensuring it’s fully covered.
- Fry the coated Doritos in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm with your choice of hot sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
