Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside with the bacon.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the diced onion and garlic until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Stir in smoked paprika, soy sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. Stir the cooked sausage and bacon back into the skillet, mixing everything together.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
