Fluffy Orange Dreamsicle Cake

This Orange Dreamsicle Cake is the perfect combination of light, fluffy cake and a rich, citrusy glaze. The orange gelatin in the cake gives it a vibrant color and a nostalgic, sweet orange flavor, while the creamy vanilla glaze adds a smooth finish that makes each bite melt in your mouth.

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 box of orange gelatin (3 oz)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, orange gelatin, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. While the cake is cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth and creamy.
  6. Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top of the cake and let it set for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
  7. Slice and enjoy your fluffy and citrusy orange dreamsicle cake!
