Easy Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 25 oz frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ cups ricotta or cottage cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick spray.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Add a layer of frozen ravioli, followed by a layer of ricotta (or cottage) cheese, and a sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Repeat the layers: meat sauce, ravioli, cheeses—until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving, if desired.
