These Dr. Pepper Barbecue Sloppy Joes are a delightful twist on a classic favorite, blending the sweetness of soda with tangy barbecue sauce. The result is a juicy, flavorful filling that’s perfect for a casual dinner or gathering.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 can (12 oz) Dr. Pepper
 - 1 cup barbecue sauce
 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - 4 hamburger buns
 - Fresh parsley, for garnish
 
Directions:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
 - Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
 - Pour in the Dr. Pepper and barbecue sauce, stirring to combine. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
 - Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
 - Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger buns and garnish with fresh parsley.
