Double BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Dogs

Ingredients:

  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 cup pickles, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with two slices of bacon and secure with toothpicks if necessary. Grill the bacon-wrapped hot dogs for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until crispy.
  4. In a separate pan, cook the ground beef with salt and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in the BBQ sauce and mustard.
  5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese inside each bun, then place the grilled hot dogs on top.
  6. Top the hot dogs with the cooked BBQ beef mixture, caramelized onions, pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup if desired.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
