Ingredients:
- 4 beef hot dogs
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/4 cup pickles, diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ketchup (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- Wrap each hot dog with two slices of bacon and secure with toothpicks if necessary. Grill the bacon-wrapped hot dogs for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until crispy.
- In a separate pan, cook the ground beef with salt and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in the BBQ sauce and mustard.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese inside each bun, then place the grilled hot dogs on top.
- Top the hot dogs with the cooked BBQ beef mixture, caramelized onions, pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
