Dorito Taco Salad

Dorito Taco Salad is a vibrant and flavorful dish that brings together the satisfying crunch of Doritos, the richness of seasoned beef, and fresh veggies. Each bite is a balance of textures and flavors, making it the ultimate easy-to-make salad for taco lovers.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 packet taco seasoning
 - 1 cup water
 - 4 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
 - 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
 - 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
 - 1 bag (9 oz) Doritos, crushed (preferably Nacho Cheese flavor)
 - 1/2 cup sour cream
 - 1/2 cup salsa
 - 1 tablespoon lime juice
 - Salt and pepper, to taste
 
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 6-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
 - Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5-6 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
 - In a large bowl, toss together the shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and kidney beans.
 - Add the cooked beef mixture to the salad, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese and crushed Doritos.
 - In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, salsa, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
 - Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss everything gently to combine.
 - Serve immediately for the best crunch, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
