- Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 can (15 oz) pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional toppings: sliced olives, mushrooms, or jalapeños
Directions:
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Transfer the browned beef to your crockpot. Add the chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
- About 10 minutes before serving, stir in the sliced pepperoni and top the mixture with shredded mozzarella cheese. Cover and let the cheese melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the pizza burger mixture onto each bun and serve hot.
- Add any additional pizza toppings such as sliced olives, mushrooms, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
