Crockpot Pizza Burgers

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: sliced olives, mushrooms, or jalapeños

Directions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Transfer the browned beef to your crockpot. Add the chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
  4. About 10 minutes before serving, stir in the sliced pepperoni and top the mixture with shredded mozzarella cheese. Cover and let the cheese melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the pizza burger mixture onto each bun and serve hot.
  6. Add any additional pizza toppings such as sliced olives, mushrooms, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
