Creamy Stuffed Mushroom Dip

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz button mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • Bread or crackers for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until they release moisture and brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Add garlic, thyme, and onion powder, and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella, sour cream, and mushroom mixture. Stir until everything is well incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with bread or crackers.
