Creamy Cajun Chicken Lazone with a Buttery Twist

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken strips in the spice mixture, making sure each piece is well seasoned.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and let it melt. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the chicken.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
