Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 10-inch bundt pan or tube pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
