- Classic Christmas Fudge
Ingredients:
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Holiday sprinkles or crushed peppermint (optional, for decoration)
Directions:
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over low heat. Stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with holiday sprinkles or crushed peppermint if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper overhang and cut into small squares.
