Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced into thin strips)
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (minced or grated)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
- Cook the Broccoli:
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli and stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
- Stir Fry the Chicken:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it’s no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Return the cooked broccoli to the skillet with the chicken. Add the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Stir to combine.
- Thicken the Sauce:
- Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Serve:
- Serve the chicken and broccoli stir fry over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
Tips:
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas for extra color and nutrition.
- Adjust the soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste for a sweeter or saltier flavor.
- This dish is quick to make, so have all your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start cooking!
