- Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salsa and sour cream (for dipping)
Directions:
- Prepare the taco meat: In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then set aside to cool slightly.
- Assemble the sticks: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 8 equal strips.
- Place 2 tbsp of taco meat and a generous sprinkle of cheese along each strip. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
- Bake: Place the taco sticks on a lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
