Cheesy Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the green beans are tender and slightly blistered.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the green beans.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
