Cheesesteak Tortellini combines the rich flavors of a classic cheesesteak sandwich with the comforting, cheesy goodness of tortellini. The tender steak and sautéed peppers and onions are enveloped in a savory sauce, then topped with melted provolone and mozzarella cheeses, making each bite irresistible.
- Ingredients:
- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini, cooked
- 1 lb ribeye steak or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
- Add the garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth to the skillet. Stir to combine, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked tortellini and steak back into the skillet, tossing to combine with the vegetables and sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Sprinkle the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese over the top of the tortellini mixture. Cover the skillet and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
