Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder (for brushing)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a pizza pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 3-4 times. Roll it out into a circle to fit your pizza pan.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, brush the crust with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, then add your desired pizza toppings.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the toppings are cooked and the cheese is bubbly.
