Caramel Apple Oatmeal Bake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples and caramel sauce until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the oatmeal is set.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving.
