Cabbage Sautéed with Chicken

  1. Ingredients:
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season the sliced chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Sauté chicken: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through and browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and garlic (and ginger, if using). Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add cabbage: Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes until it is wilted but still slightly crisp.
  5. Combine ingredients: Return the chicken to the skillet and add the soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot, either alone or over rice.
