Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade biscuit dough)
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the biscuit dough on a lightly floured surface to form a pizza crust, then place on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is lightly golden.
  3. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage, stirring for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with black pepper and salt.
  5. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Crack the eggs evenly across the pizza, spacing them out. Carefully place back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the egg whites are set but yolks are still runny.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chives. Slice and serve warm.
