Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 tsp baking soda
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
 - 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
 - 2 large eggs
 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
 
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
 - In a large bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
 - Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
 - Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
 - Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
 - Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
 - Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
