Best Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture, then gently stir in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
