Apple Pie Bombs

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 2 cups apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Caramel sauce (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each biscuit dough round with your hands or a rolling pin.
  3. Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the chopped apple pie filling in the center of each dough round.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal, and form into a ball shape.
  5. Arrange the sealed bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
  7. While the bombs are baking, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  8. Once the bombs are out of the oven, brush them with the melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Serve warm with optional caramel sauce drizzle.
