Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- In a large skillet, brown the patties over medium heat, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes on the bottom. Place the browned hamburger patties on top of the potatoes.
- Pour the soup mixture over the patties and potatoes, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
